Loaded berry smoothie bowl

Acai bowl
I am a fan of the acai bowl trend that finally made its way to non-tropical climates. I’m on the bandwagon. I don’t have acai berries at my disposal.  So I make the closest thing to it with what I have.

I blended a basic smoothie, using frozen mixed berries, banana, almond butter and apple juice.

Load on the toppings with with whatever fruit/nuts you have around the house. This time I used kiwi, banana, blueberries, almonds and goji berries. I’ve used strawberries, pineapples, blackberries in the past, it’s all good.

More is more on this thing. I added cinnamon, hemp hearts and toasted coconut flakes this time.  You could also top it with cocoa powder, chia seeds, almond slivers, granola, dried fruit.  Go nuts!

What I like about it: It’s basically everything I’d put in a smoothie, but half of the ingredients don’t get blended. Each flavor and texture gets to shine. Super health energy bowl that will also satisfy your sweet tooth. Yea!
